Review - FAR- Lone Sails

So, this one came along at a great time for me. I've been playing Sekiro- Shadows Die Twice recently and this was a perfect counterpoint to it. Whereas Sekiro has you constantly on edge, being tested and failing before that elation of success, this title was a much calmer and more serene undertaking. An enjoyable, sedate affair that was a different type of experience for me. One where I wasn't in deadly combat or frustrating battles, fighting to save the world but one where I could continue on my journey at my own pace, working through the puzzles without worrying about missing something and game over screens.
The release I'm talking about is called "FAR- Lone Sails" and it draws its inspiration from various places, but at its heart, it's a 2D "walk to the right" type of platformer, similar to Limbo or Inside, but with a focus on vehicle and vehicle resource management.
The world has a beautiful but minimalistic look, and its opening scene sets the…

Review - WWE 2K19

I think last year for me was the one where I said WWE games needed to up their game in terms of what it offered or fans would soon begin getting restless and sales would die down. With the only pull back these days being the fact that there is only one place to get your wrestling gaming needs these days, WWE fan or not. WWE 2K19 talked a good talk, but was this year the game finally fixed everything wrong with previous games, or just give us more of the same half-assed modes that we've seen in the last few years? It may have taken me ages, but, I finally put fingers to keyboard about my latest battles in the squared circle.

Jumping right in, My Career, to be as blunt as possible, has been terrible for what feels like forever since the good old days where a WWF/WWE game would have some sort of point to a career mode. Recent ones have been flat out dull and littered with errors and just massive portions of not much happening in it at all. In WWE 2K19 this is sort of fixed, and if a…

Review - The LEGO movie 2 Videogame

I've lost track of how many LEGO games I've owned or reviewed in all the years of doing this review stuff. With each one not really changing that much from the last, but seemingly always being there for me when a gaming funk hit and I've just not felt like playing anything too tasking. The memory of the first LEGO Movie game has seemingly been lost in my mind when thinking about it right now while typing up this intro (good job I write stuff down) but turns out now checking the previous review link I thought quite highly of it. LEGO movie 2 follows pretty much the same concept as every other LEGO game story in the past, but let's explain that for the zero people that have no idea what that is, and also the shocking new story full of twist and turns with this new game (note sarcasm).

LEGO Movie 2 kicks off with cute aliens coming down and attacking, and it's up to you and your cast of characters and unlockable items to take them down. Honestly, the story is probabl…
